The Other Guys + Step Up 3D

Last weekend was movies-galore! Friday, I went out with Leo to see The Other Guys. I thought it was pretty funny. Honestly, I was going to see it because Leo suggested it. I thought it was going to be a dud, but I really enjoyed it. It was a great mixture of talent in the cast. Hehe. I lol'd quite a few times.
Saturday, I went out with this guy I had met sometime before. He is a very talented performer/dancer. We hadn't really hung out and he seemed pretty cool, so when he offered to hit the movies, I accepted. For the purposes of this blog, I think I shall call him, Roboto. =]
Stereo and I had a great time. The movie was awesome. I have a major new crush. His name? Chadd Smith. This guy is so gorgeous and super talented! Jinkies. *swoon*

Inception Review:

Goooo see it!
Okay, okay. I won't hype it up too much, cause then you will be like, "I don't see the big deal..." due to all of the positive reviews I'm sure you've been hearing. So quietly, I politely insist you go see it. Most importantly, well not most, but its high priority, see him...

Salt

Last night me and the Bestest-M went to see Salt. I think it was a pretty good movie. Especially if it kept me awake. I had just got back from Florida yesterday and we went to the 12:05 show. The plot was interesting...not too predictable. Not good enough for me to sit and watch again. All in all, I would recommend it, but if you want to save, its a movie you can wait to see on DVD release.
As for tonight, we are going to see Inception. =] I'm excite!

Scene It!

This weekend, I hit up the good ol' Redbox for some movie rentals. I was pleased with my selection.
Youth in Revolt: This movie was...different. A good different. =] For some reason I saw similarities in the main character Nick Twisp and Mr. N. He was kind of the reason I got it, I remember him asking if I saw it. It is definitely a movie I wouldn't go see with my mom. Awkwaaard. N.B. thought that it started kind of slow, but I enjoyed it from the beginning. Get up a gang of friends, maybe wine cooler, popcorn and sodas and have a good old time. Its a special treat for all of us with our very own alter egos. =D
Remember Me: The idea to get this movie came from N.B. I liked this movie as well. I was worried cause Rob Pattinson was in it. You know how it can be when you are use to an actor playing on character and it seems like any movie outside of that realm doesn't seem right. Well, no problem here. It reminded me of Seven Pounds, one of those real bittersweet movies. Emphasis on the bitter. I don't usually cry on movies, but the end was gripping...I teared up, no drops, but you know. Haha.

People let me tell you about my best frienddd…

This is Colt. He has been there for me since 8th grade. I could always depend on him. We are kind of the opposite of each other, which is great! I love him. Anywho, this was taken at Applebee’s after we watch Avatar. Avatar was that greatness!
Ooo, I may be getting a pet turtle form Colt soon. Wouldn’t that be grand?

Trek.Me.Down

As I promised, if I got to get in the preview for the new release Star Trek, I would let you all know how it was. As a girl who never was into Star Trek before, I would give this movie:
✰✰✰✰✰
Yes! It was really good! I mean, I have an appreciation for action movies. This also had a tweek of romance and drama too. Despite all that, I think it was very successful because it made me want to learn more about the whole Star Trek saga. I want to be a "Trekker" too! Haha. It has many familiar faces in the movie, including Zoe Saldana and Tyler Perry! Yes, I said Tyler Perry. Hehe. There is also an appearance from one of the OG's, original characters, of Star Trek. So, if you like action/drama/sci-fi give it a try. I actually plan to see it again, which is a rare thing indeed!

Movie.Madness[Updated]

Pop the Dvd in...
...and press 'play.'
Grrr, this is the 3rd time I've tried submitting this. Hope it works.
Yeah, so it has been a day or few since I posted last. Its been a busy weekend. So, I meant to mention a while back, I'm on my new release grind. My big sis and I went to go see "He's Just Not That Into You." This movie will make you feel stupid and enlightened at the same time. I saw a few mistakes I have made in the past with my previous "interests." Yeah, I may have called/text when I shouldn't have cause, clearly, dude probably wasn't that into me. Eh, we all make mistakes. Then again, you learn a thing or two. Movie made me really think. Hmm-age. Yeah. I think it is a good idea to have a truthful male's opinion on speed dial. Thankfully, I have my Bestie. He's the best. He is honest and not judgmental. =] Gotta love him.
Just this past weekend, I went to see "Madea Goes to Jail."
When I go to see a Madea movie, I expected a laugh. It met my expectations. So, I'm content. I especially loved the character "T.T." played by Sofia Vergara. Haha. "Brownies for my brownie." I got her character down-pack now. Plus, I went to McDonalds beforehand and successfully snuck in the theatre with a 6-piece Might Kids Meal, in which I got this Hello Kitty watch that my Twinnie would appreicate. =]
I got the purple one.
I want to collect a few more...Hehe.
Sunday, after taking care of laundry, "Mr. N" and I watched Max Payne. It was alright. It kind of freaked us both out. That night, we both thought we saw dark angels.

SuperBowl.Weekend

There Is Always Something There To Remind Me...
...of him.
My weekend was pretty dandy. Friday, went shopping. I also, went to CAU. It was quite eventfully...fire alarms and such. [long story] I did get to meet a few people and danced a little. We had a small house party. Goodtimes. Saturday, I worked and then headed to my Unc-R's. My sister was in town from Alabama. All of us went to LongHorn and acted straight up crazy. As we should. Haha. I got the huge ribeye which I have not finished to this day. Haha. We laughed, danced in the parking lot, and reminisced about our younger years. Video coming soon.
Sunday, superbowl! Okay, not really, I was watch movies! Gran Torino and Taken were the movies of choice. Pretty nifty, if you ask me. Clint Eastwood is hi-la-ri-ous in this joint.
"Get off my lawn."

As For The Rest Of Sunday...
...as I was leaving the gas station across from my dorm. Guess who I bump into? The Baller. *sigh* I kid you not, my mind went blank...I can't even remember what I did when I first saw him, but my roommate said I threw up the dueces. Then the convo went something like this:
Him: What's up? *Hold out arms for hug*
Me: Not much. *I go for the one arm hug*
*He steps back*
Him: You act like you don't wanna give me a hug?!
Me: Hm...
Him: What you got?
Me: Some sweet tarts, you know how I like it. [Sorry, my mind was gone.]
*we both walking away a little*
Him: Oh, Thats messed up tho...act like you didn't want to give me a hug.
Me: I'm sure you'll be just fine.
*He looks taken aback* *I walk off*
I will never forget his face when I said that. I know it may seem mean that I said that, but you have to understand. Dude act like everything is cool. I haven't heard from him for about 2 weeks. I know he gets busy, but geez. I'm not gonna act like everything is cool, cause then he may think its okay. Like I don't have a problem with it. I really like this guy and I'm willing to be understanding and I want to spend time with him. However, I need him to do the same. Eh...he probably is not that into me, cool. I won't be on his jock, I will keep convo to the minimum: "dueces". Thats just me.

Welcome.Backkk

Its the Spring Semester of '09...
...which would explain why I haven't posted in a few days.

I've been busy working and trying to figure things out. I was uncertain how I was gonna finish paying for school this semester. I hate the beginning of the semester for that one reason... I look at all that money and I just want to say, "I give up." Time to give the dope boys some competition. It's not just me, I'm sure. A few of my friends and I have already thought of alternative ways to finance our education: (opening) strip clubs, pimping, selling drugs. It's amazing how gangster a few college girls can be when pushed to the limit. Haha. I joke about it cause there isn't any need in me stressing...I can only do what I can and pray about it. Thank the heavens, things seem to be working out. For this year anyway...
My mom said next year I have to come up with a way to pay for housing. How am I gonna do that...I have no idea. The money I make goes towards food and other school supplies. [Luxuries are few.] Art supplies are not cheap. Please believe, I spent $70 on supplies yesterday and I haven't bought everything off the supply list or a book yet. [Big ups to my Grandma, without her...I couldn't have gotten that.] Oh well, I will deal with things as they com
e. I won't complain too much, I know someone out there is worser off than me. I'm applying to be a RA and to my dream school again. If I get the RA job, housing is covered. If I get accepted to my dream school again with a full scholarship...I'm outtie!
7 Pounds...
...is a t-t-t-totally awesome movie!
I went with N.B. [code-name] last night. There's a little history behind N.B. and I, but thats for later... Like I was telling my roomies, "It was not a date! ...its an outing." Haha...okay, so maybe it was a date. Thats besides the point. The movie was really good. Quite deep, man. *snap, snap* There were moments, I wanted to cry, but I'm too gangster to actually shed a tear. I did water up a little, I admit it. So all-in-all, it was a nice night. I love how when N.B. and I were walking, he will twirl me. Haha. He's a goof-ball. Me likey, but not as much as I use to. Like I said, more about that later.

P.S. So, I'm over my "sickness." Haha. I will admit, I did sneak in an extra dose of NyQuil to get a good night sleep. =] That was some great sleep too.
